Increasing safety through training videos on specific areas relating to hazardous materials
The Mid America CropLife Association created four Department of Transport (DOT) Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Training videos. These were updated by the MACA Distribution & Environment committee, and made available for download on the MACA website free to any MACA member.
The updated safety programme can also be used for US Department of Transportation mandated General Awareness and Function Specific training.
It is specific to HAZMAT chemicals used in the agricultural arena. The videos focus on four specific areas regarding hazardous materials: general awareness, shipping papers, loading, blocking and bracing, and emergency.
The kit also includes a CD on how to conduct HAZMAT training.
