China Supreme Court makes example of convicted counterfeit pesticide supplier

Counterfeit pesticide products are not subject to any form of quality control and can consequently prove highly damaging to farmers' crops. Following a collaborative investigation involving both industry and law enforcement, a Chinese court recently sentenced a supplier of counterfeit pesticide to a year in prison and compensation payment of RMB 42,485 (US$ 6,215) to cover full damages to a farmer’s crop. read more .. |

CropLife launches large-scale training project in Andhra Pradesh, India, 21 January 2010
The project will train farmers in the safe handling and responsible use of crop protection products, including their secure storage. The aim is to maximise benefits of using crop protection products, reduce unnecessary use and mis-use, and minimise any risks from their use.

CropLife’s New Media Campaign Celebrates Farmers on World Food Day
CropLife International has launched an exciting new social media campaign that consists of a new standalone educational Web site, which provides information about how the advancements in the plant sciences can address food security, building societies, healthier plants and sustainable agriculture.
The project will train farmers in the safe handling and responsible use of crop protection products, including their secure storage. The aim is to maximise benefits of using crop protection products, reduce unnecessary use and mis-use, and minimise any risks from their use.
